On April 29, the Shakhty City Court was supposed to hear the defendant and retire to the deliberation room to pass a verdict, but the hearing was postponed due to the failure of one of the participants to appear, reports an Orda.kz correspondent.
The defendant’s lawyer, Elena Sevrina-Seliverstova, did not appear at the trial.
“Yes, the hearing was canceled today, the lawyer was ill, but we were not notified in advance, I came to the trial from Astana, and am on my way back,” says the victims’ lawyer Kanat Nakhimbekov.
The meeting will continue tomorrow – April 30.
